The Way Within

An Exploration of Yin Yoga + Zen

A two-hour invitation to step away from the noise of the outside world, slow the body, and turn your awareness inward.

Life Has Gotten a Little Too Loud

So much of our attention is spent outside of ourselves. We are responding, caring for others, consuming information, accomplishing, planning, and moving on to whatever comes next.

It can be incredibly difficult to become quiet enough to hear what is happening within.

This is a dedicated space to quiet the outside world, reconnect with your body, and listen to your own inner wisdom.

What to Expect

Mallory and Wan will weave Yin Yoga, Zen meditation, Taoist wisdom, conversation, and reflections from quantum physics into an experiential practice centered around stillness, energy, awareness, and connection to the deeper self.

Body

Gentle Yin Yoga

Slow the body, create space, and notice what is happening beneath the surface. Accessible to every body.

Mind

Zen & Taoist Wisdom

Explore stillness, inner energy, and the practice of non-doing through conversation and direct experience.

Spirit

Open Inquiry

Reflections from consciousness and quantum physics — an invitation to explore, not a belief to adopt.

There is nothing to achieve here.

Come. Slow down. Become curious. Pay attention.

Zen & Taoist Wisdom

Wan brings a deep contemplative perspective rooted in Zen meditation, Taoist wisdom, and an ongoing curiosity about the connections between ancient teachings, energy, and modern ideas including quantum physics. Her approach invites thoughtful conversation, questioning, and direct experience rather than simply telling you what to believe.

Yin Yoga & Awareness

Mallory is a longtime yoga practitioner and teacher whose approach is rooted in using the physical practice as a pathway to something deeper. Through Yin Yoga, breath, awareness, and yoga philosophy, she invites students to become curious about what is happening beneath the posture and to use their practice as a way to reconnect with themselves.

Common Questions

You don't need to be experienced. You just need to be curious.

I've never practiced Zen or studied Taoism.
Perfect. No previous knowledge is needed. Wan will introduce these ideas in an approachable way and invite you to explore them through conversation and practice rather than expecting you to already understand them.
I'm not good at meditating. I can't quiet my mind.
You don't need to quiet your mind. Part of the practice is simply learning to notice what is happening without needing to change it. Yin also gives the body somewhere to be while we practice turning our attention inward.
I've never done Yin Yoga / I'm not flexible enough.
No Yin experience is necessary and flexibility is not the goal. The practice will be gentle, slow, and accessible. Yin Yoga is about meeting your body where it is — there is no perfect shape you need to make.
I have a really hard time being still.
Then this practice may be especially meaningful for you. We aren't expecting stillness to be easy. We're creating a supported space to explore it.
I'm spiritual, but I don't want someone telling me what to believe.
Neither do we. We'll introduce ideas from Yin Yoga, Zen, Taoist wisdom, and reflections from quantum physics, then invite you to explore what resonates through your own experience.
Quantum physics sounds way over my head.
There will be no science test! Wan will simply weave in accessible reflections that invite curiosity about energy, awareness, consciousness, and connection.
Am I going to have to sit in meditation for two hours?
No. The two hours will weave together Yin Yoga, meditation, teaching, conversation, contemplation, and stillness. You won't simply be sitting silently for the entire gathering.
Is this for me if I'm completely new to all of this?
Absolutely. You don't need to know the language, understand the philosophy, or consider yourself particularly spiritual. Curiosity and a willingness to turn inward are enough.
